The standard 2.0L EcoBoost turbo-charged engine is capable of 245 horsepower and 275 foot-pounds of torque while getting a very respectable 28 mpg highway fuel economy in front-wheel drive form. Adding all-wheel drive, which is available on all trims, reduces that figure by 3 mpg. An optional 2.3L EcoBoost engine straight from the Mustang is also available for Reserve models putting down a whopping 285 horsepower and 300 foot-pounds of torque. Both choices are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with steering column paddle shifters and manual gear selection via the center console shifter.
