Mazda keeps things pretty simple with two powertrain options for the CX-50. Power comes from a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine making 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. The second engine is a turbocharged version of the 2.5L that produces 256 horsepower. Both engines are mated to an efficient Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
